At January 15 sitting, the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security debated in the first reading the draft law on Making Addenda on Military Service and Serviceman’s Status and the package of the enclosed draft laws authored by the RA NA deputies Andranik Kocharyan, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Arman Babajanyan.

The Chair of the Standing Committee proposed the debate of the item to postpone up to two months for revising the legislative package, which was unanimously accepted by the Committee members.

The Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Arshak Gasparyan presented for debate the draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Weapons.

The MPs endorsed the bill for including in the draft law of the agenda of the sixth session of the NA seventh convocation.

The package of draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Military Service and Serviceman’s Status and on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on State Allowances authored by the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction was debated in the first reading. The key rapporteur Gevorg Gorgisyan made proposals on the package of draft laws.

The government did not endorse it. Andranik Kocharyan proposed to postpone the voting of the item jointly working with the Government for the solution of the indicated solution during that period. The package of draft laws was endorsed.

The draft law on Amending the RA Law on Ensuring Road Traffic Safety and the package of the enclosed draft laws and the bill on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Code on Administrative Offences authored by the Government were debated in the second reading and endorsed.
