On January 12, the regular sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration moderated by Mikayel Melkumyan was held.

The draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Information Cooperation of the Member States of Commonwealth Independent States on Radioactive Source Transportation presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Hakob Vardanyan was debated.

The Committee also considered the draft law designing the ratification of the Treaty on Toponyms of the Goods Labels, Service Labels and Goods Origin of the Eurasian Economic Union. The document was signed in Moscow on 3 February 2020.

The RA Deputy Minister of Economy Varos Simonyan presented details on the document.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan introduced the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on the Principles of Implementation of Tax Policy on Tobacco Product Excises of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States. The Agreement was signed in Saint Petersburg on 19 December 2019.

The Committee endorsed the debated draft laws.

The Deputy Ministers presented the causes of the economic depression situation created in the country by Mikayel Melkumyan’s exhortation.
