Bowing our heads before the glorious memory of the martyred military, volunteers and the persons who had taken part in the military actions in the Artsakh battlefield,

sharing with deep grief the pain of the families, friends and relatives of the martyred,

taking into consideration the war actions Armenia and Artsakh and the inner-political events followed the ceasefire,

My Step Faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia makes a statement:

- The current analysis of the war actions gives a basis to record that the Armenian people with united efforts, in fact, have fought not only against the armed forces of Azerbaijan, but also against one of the greatest armed forces of the world, an army with super modern and unlimited human resources, mercenary terrorists and against the military units of special importance from different countries,

- During the forty-five day war along the entire frontline special heroic deeds had been registered, thanks to which it was possible to prevent the enemy’s genocidal crime against the Armenians,

- The all-Armenian entire potential took part in the provision of the rear of the army in the war actions,

- We record that the war actions took place in parallel with the great geopolitical events conditioned by security challenges, because of which all international efforts aimed at the establishment of the ceasefire failed, including the reiterated efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group three Co-Chair countries,

- Accepting the conditions announced in the created historical-political situation was the only opportunity to avoid the complete loss of Artsakh and thousands of human victims.

My Step Faction is sure that the society shall get answers to all questions concerning it. At the same time, the Faction is not going to take part in any sitting having a goal to damage the stability in Armenia and endanger the front and the life of the people protecting it.

At the same time before discussing the legality of the well-known statement on ending the Karabakh war we propose the opposition to announce very distinctly to the whole Armenian people and the world that:

1.      They are for the canceling the Russian mediation,

2.      They are for the withdrawal of the peacekeeping troops from the line of contact,

3.      They are for the continuation of the war.

After making this statement, the opposition forces are also obliged to present the road map of reaching victory in the war proposing to be restarted.
