The Acting Head of the Civil Service Bureau of the RA Prime Minister’s Staff Vache Kalashyan presented the negative position of the initiative.

The author postponed the voting of the draft law to review it.

The initiative of the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction was also debated, the idea of which, according to the key speaker Srbuhi Grigoryan, emerged as a result of meetings with the citizens. It is proposed to make addenda to the RA law on Social Support, according to which the state would provide compensation for the lonely elderly people’s communal payments.

As to the RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Anna Zhamakochyan, the Government considers the adoption of the draft law not expedient.

The initiative was not endorsed.

The Committee debated in the second reading and endorsed the draft law on Making Addenda and Amendment to the RA Labor Code authored by the deputies Tsovinar Vardanyan, Sona Ghazaryan, Lusine Badalyan, Armen Pambukhchyan, Narek Zeynalyan.

The debate of a number of draft laws was postponed up to two months.

Afterwards the deputies touched upon the item on putting into circulation in the National Assembly the package of the draft laws on Right to Life of the Non-Born Child, on Amending the Law on Human Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights, on Amending the RA Criminal Code, on Amending the RA Code on Administrative Offences of the petition sent to the Committee by the Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan on 26 June 2020.

The representatives of the RA Ministry of Health and the sphere mainly did not consider acceptable the amendments being proposed by the package.

Listening to the parties’ opinions, the Committee made a decision to refuse the proposal on putting into circulation the package.
