At July 16 extraordinary sitting moderated by Babken Tunyan, the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs debated in the second reading the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Advertisement authored by the Government.
According to the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Avag Avanesyan, the acting legislation bans to show the advertisement of the strong alcoholic spirits through mass information electronic means from 06:00 to 22:30 (the content of the spirit 20 and more units), except the brandy of local production. It has been noted that the amendment is a demand of the EEU inner legislation. The Deputy Minister informed that the law would enter into force not 10 days after the issuance, as it was established in the preliminary version, but after 3 months.
Presenting questions the MPs were mainly for the draft law. The Committee unanimously endorsed the bill.
