The Bureau of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly disseminated an official message ahead of the Video Teleconference of the EU Heads, the Leaders of the EU member countries and the Eastern Partnership countries held on 18 June.

The message of the Bureau of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly is an important and fundamental document: it establishes the strategic directions and vision of the cooperation between the EU and the Eastern Partnership countries, in the very first paragraph reaffirming the strong

commitment to the respect of all values at the core of the Eastern Partnership, among others underlining the right to self-determination.

“This message is a strategic document adopted and agreed by the European Parliament and the Eastern Partnership five countries - Armenia, Georgia Moldova, Ukraine and Azerbaijan, which is a result of long-lasting and complicated negotiations,” the Head of the Armenian Delegation of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, the member of the Bureau Gayane Abrahamyan said.

We should stress that the message has a separate paragraph, which underlines the importance of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which offers a promising framework to deepen the Armenia-European Union relations, increase the EU support for Armenia’s political and economic reforms, and strengthen ARMENIA’S CONTRIBUTION TO REGIONAL SECURITY AND STABILITY.
