At June 1 extraordinary sitting the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs debated in the second reading the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Constitutional Law on Referendum and the enclosed package of draft laws authored by the deputy of the NA My Step Faction Vahagn Hovakimyan. An attempt is made to regulate the legal relations on holding a referendum after the end of the martial law and the state of emergency and the terms connected with holding referendum.

The regulations spread also on the process of referendum of the Constitutional Amendments of the Republic of Armenia appointed on 5 April 2020.

The key reporter informed that after the first reading proposals were presented in written form. It was proposed to organize the debate of the item in the morning at 9am of June 2 for specifying some issues, and it was accepted by the Standing Committee.
