On May 12, a working discussion was held on the initiative of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs with the participation of the representatives of the State Non-Commercial Organizations (SNCO) implementing laboratory examination.

The RA NA deputies, the First Deputy of the Health Minister Ananhit Avanesyan, the representatives of the executive body and those interested in the sphere took part in the working discussion.

The representatives of the SNCO have expressed their complain, informing that the SNCO compete with the laboratories implementing state similar activity, as a result of which, they have appeared in the hard situation.

The speakers have underlined that they cannot compete with the state. The representatives of the structures noted that the companies implementing state and private examination should not have the same function.

Without agreeing with the presented disagreements, the MPs have noted if there are no competitive conditions, then the quality of the operation will suffer. As an example, the activity of the state and non-state higher educational institutions was pointed out. The Committee members proposed to reach the best result raising the quality of the services. At the same time, it was noted that the state SNCO should have privileged status.

The representatives of the RA Ministry of Economy expressed readiness to more deeply study the problem and hold one more discussion at the Ministry.
