Issues on Energy Security of Armenia Debated on RA NA Vice President’s Initiative

On February 26, the RA NA Vice President Vahe Enfiajyan met with the Chairman of the Dialogue Organization Yuri Navoyan, the member of the Expertise Council adjunct to the RF Government Roman Shkolin and the Deputy Director of Transcaucasia Research Centre Nikolay Banin.

Greeting the guests the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament was interested in the discussions entitled the Energy Security in the EEU countries and the Formation of a Common Energy Market held a day before by the Dialogue Organization with the support of the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration.

Yuri Navoyan informed that the parliamentarians of Armenia and Russia, representatives and experts of the government discussed the themes The Foreign Energy Policy of Russia and Armenia, The Current State of Energy Security in Armenia, The Armenian-Russian Energy Perspective Directions for Cooperation, The Nuclear Energy of Armenia: the Investment Attractiveness and the Liberalization Problems, The Energy Cooperation within the EEU and the Problems of Formation of a Common Energy Market.

The deputy parliamentary speaker has emphasized the organized event and has underlined that the high level of energy security can be considered one of Armenia’s major achievements that is one of the main pledges of the development progress of different spheres of economy.

Vahe Enfiajyan expressed readiness for further cooperation and assistance.
