Ruben Rubinyan Receives Chargé d’Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

On January 24, the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Ruben Rubinyan received the Chargé d' Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland David Moran and the Head of Press Section Steve Dodds.

Welcoming the guests Ruben Rubinyan highlighted the development of cooperation between the two countries on the inter-parliamentary platforms.

The Committee Chairman talked about the priorities of the foreign policy being pursued by Armenia after the Velvet Revolution. Ruben Rubinyan presented the position of the Armenian side regarding the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh problem, touched upon the items of the ratification of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Advanced Partnership Agreement and the visa liberalisation with the European Union.

A number of issues concerning the bilateral relations after the United Kingdom leaving the European Union were discussed.

The interlocutors also exchanged ideas on the situation around the Near East.
