Items on State Duty and Road Traffic Debated

On December 23, on the initiative of the Member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security, the Member of the NA My Step Faction Armen Khachatryan with the participation of the NGO representatives being involved with the defense of the NA deputies, lawyers and drivers a debate on Amending the Law on State Duty existing in the legislative package of the driver's point system investment was held.

Armen Khachatryan distinguished three main factors: structural changes in police system, investment of garrison service and compliance with European standards of the sphere legislation. The modern public transport addition and the fundamental improvement of the sphere were also considered important.

The Head of the Legal Department of the RA Road Police Hayk Vardanyan has informed that the requirement of the compulsory state duty is established by the Administrative Procedure Code.

The MP Gevorg Gorgisyan has considered inadmissible this viewpoint, noting that it is the problem of the state.

The MP Nikolay Baghdasaryan presented certain clarifications on the complaints.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Varazdat Karapetyan was for the investment of the subject on the road safety traffic rules at schools.

The NGO representatives are against the payment of the compulsory state duties documenting that they are high. They proposed to cancel the provision and send the law to the Constitutional Court for getting conclusion.

Armen Khachatryan noted that they would debate the item with the colleagues and inform about the decision.
