Open Lesson in National Assembly

On December 11, within the framework of the RA NA Open Doors programme the pupils and the teachers of Yerevan T. Shevchenko N 42 Senior School visited the parliament.

The deputy of the NA My Step Faction Lilit Stepanyan and the deputy of Bright Armenia Faction Gevorg Gorgisyan met with the guests and conducted Open Lesson.

The pupils were particularly interested in the upcoming programmes and processes concerning the education sphere and the foreign policy of Armenia.

Touching upon power-opposition relations the MPs have noted that the political forces cooperate especially on the international platforms.

Highlighting the 12-year education model the MPs have underlined that there are still things to be done for making it more competitive.

They also referred to the provision of the working draft law on Higher Education and Science, which proposes to consider the subjects Armenian Language, Armenian Literature and History of Armenia non compulsory for studying in non-professional higher educational institutions.

The parliamentarians have urged the schoolchildren to study well, choose right profession, as the state is firm due to educated generations.

Within the framework of the visit the guests took a tour to the parliament building, observed the work of the regular sitting of the National Assembly, got familiarized with the history of the parliament and also were in the library.
