On December 9, the work of the regular sittings of the RA National Assembly continued.

The deputies by voting passed the legislative initiatives debated on December 6, except the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Compensation of the Damages Caused to the Life or Health of the Servicemen during the Defense of the Republic of Armenia authored by the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction which was debated in the first reading.

Afterwards the parliament continued debating the bill on Amending the RA Law on Operative-Intelligence Activity authored by the RA NA My Step Faction deputies Armen Khachatryan and Sipan Pashinyan.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan proposed to vote against this draft law.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Tigran Karapetyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The co-author of the draft law Armen Khachatryan urged the MPs to vote for the draft law aimed at the improvement of the police.

The Deputy Chairman of the RA Central bank Vakhtang Abrahamyan presented for debate the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement in Harmonisation of the Legislation of the EEU Member States in the Sphere of Financial Market.

Vahe Hovhannisyan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration.

Afterwards the draft law on ratification of the agreements presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Avet Adonts concerning the relations with China and Vietnam was debated.

The MP Gor Gevorgyan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.

Aleksandr Avetisyan presented the endorsement of the Head Committee.

The parliament debated the draft decision on Extending the Term of the Activity of the Investigative Committee Studying the Circumstances of Military Actions in April 2016 by 6 months.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan presented the works done by the Investigative Committee.

The National Assembly debated the draft decision on Extending the Authorities of the Investigative Committee Studying the Efficiency of the Activity of the Water Committee of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, Its Structural Sub-Units and Water Economy Programme Implementation Office presented by the Chair of the Investigative Committee Tsovinar Vardanyan.

The parliament debated in the first reading the legislative package on Reduction of the Damage Being Caused to the Health and Its Prevention as a Consequence of the Use of Tobacco Production Types and Their Substitutes.

The key speaker, the RA Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan has presented the list of the illnesses that originate as a consequence of tobacco, as well as has touched upon the damage caused to the economy.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs Narek Zeynalyan presented the results of the debate and proposals held in the Committee and urged the MPs to vote for the package.

Mikayel Melkumyan voiced the endorsement of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction.

Babken Tunyan presented the viewpoint of the RA NA My Step Faction.

The package of the draft laws on Making Addendum and Amendments on Multi-Apartment Housing Management and on Condominium authored by the MP Vagharshak Hakobyan.

The MP Vahe Ghalumyan presented the endorsement of the Head Committee.

The Chairman of the Urban Development State Committee Vahagn Vermishyan presented the endorsement of the RA Government, noting that a number of proposals of technical character were accepted.

Gevorg Gorgisyan presented the viewpoint of the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction and proposed to submit a more comprehensive bill.

In their concluding speeches Vahagn Vermishyan and the author of the draft law Vagharshak Hakobyan referred to the voiced concerns.

The parliament in the first reading debated the draft law on Making Addendum to the Constitutional Law on Constitutional Court and the package of the enclosed draft laws presented by the RA Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan.

The debate of the draft law will continue at the NA December 10 sitting.
