On December 2 the Deputy Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, the Member of the RA NA Armenia-Lithuania Friendship Group Hovhannes Igityan received Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia.

Welcoming the Ambassador, Hovhannes Igityan has noted that the inter-parliamentary cooperation has its unique place in the deepening of bilateral relations. The Deputy Chair of the Committee particularly highlighted the close cooperation between the two Parliaments’ Friendship Groups. He has stated that there are great opportunities for cooperation in high technologies and trade-economic spheres.

The parties touched upon the ongoing reforms after the Velvet revolution in Armenia. The Ambassador presented the Lithuanian experience in formation the judicial power.

Hovhannes Igityan highly assessed the Ambassador's efforts and activities aimed at further strengthening of the Armenian-Lithuanian relations.

Issues related to the development of cooperation between the regions and the cities of the two countries were discussed.

The interlocutors discussed the upcoming visits of high-level officials from both sides, highlighting the holding of cultural and economic events during that period.
