Delegation Led by Vice President of High Council of the Judiciary of Italy Visits Parliament

On November 25, the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vladimir Vardanyan, the Deputy Chair Anna Karapetyan and the NA deputy Vahagn Hovakimyan met with the delegation led by the Vice President of High Council of the Judiciary of Italy David Ermini.

Welcoming the guests in the National Assembly Vladimir Vardanyan has noted that though Armenia has a history of many centuries, however the Armenian statehood is new, and we have also passed to the parliamentary government system, and the Supreme Judicial Council is a new body.

Expressing his gratitude for the reception, David Ermini informed that the delegation had meetings with the representatives of the executive, judicial and legislative authorities of Armenia. The Vice President of the High Council of the Judiciary of Italy has underlined that they are ready to support their Armenian colleagues.

The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs informed that a number of legislative initiatives aimed at the reforms of the judicial sphere will be implemented in the nearest future, which also envisages improvement of the integrity building rules for the judges. He also highlighted the Anti-Corruption Forum a few days ago.

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to Armenia Vincenzo Del Monaco, and the member of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia Hayk Hovhannisyan also attended meeting.
