On November 8, the regular sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration moderated by Mikayel Melkumyan was held. As the RA Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan presented, the bill on Reduction of Damage Being Caused to Health as a Consequence of Tobacco and Their Substitutes and the package of bills were debated in the first reading.

The MPs touched upon the compliance of the bill with the EEU requirements.

The Committee also debated the opportunities of overcoming the legal bans existing in the framework of the EEU.

According to the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Varos Simonyan, it will be necessary to make legislative amendments.

The Deputy Minister also answered to the Committee members’ questions.
