1 / 10

On November 7, the members of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction met with the delegation of the Free Motherland party of Artsakh Republic.

Issues on inter-party cooperation were discussed. The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, member of the Faction Naira Zohrabyan has noted that the National Assembly is not represented in the international structures, and in that context she has highlighted the cooperation in this direction. Ideas were exchanged, particularly, on the creation of the inter-party working group. According to her, the Artsakh issue is one of the most discussed themes on the international platforms, and the joint work will be useful. She has informed that in the near future she will take part in the works of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie, which will also be discussed the issue on the right to the peoples' self-determination, which is directly connected with Artsakh. She has added that the Artsakh colleagues helped while preparing her report being presented in the Assembly.

The guests highlighted the deepening and strengthening of bilateral cooperation. They have noted that there is need to revise and sign a new agreement of cooperation between the two legislative bodies. An opinion was voiced to hold the sittings of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee between Armenia and Artsakh not twice a year, but four times a year.
