On November 31, the President of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan received the Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Armenia, the EU Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin.

During the meeting Ararat Mirzoyan informed the Ambassador about the firm commitment of Armenia and also the National Assembly of Armenia to develop the relations with the European Union and to strengthen the partnership based on the democratic values. The NA President has thanked the EU Ambassador for shown support to various programmes and democratic reforms being implemented in Armenia and presented the directions and programmes, which Armenia intends to carry out.

Andrea Victorin has noted that she is very glad to see the progress that Armenia has recorded, underlining that the EU is ready and wants to support the ongoing reforms in the RA. The sides discussed a wide scope of issues regarding Armenia-European Union agenda.

At the meeting already functioning and a number of possible new programmes of cooperation of the National Assembly with the EU were discussed.

Andrea Victorin assured that the European Union would continue to assist Armenia in strengthening democracy.
