The deputy of the RA NA My Step Faction, the Head of Armenia-Korea Friendship Group Arman Boshyan and the member of the Group, the deputy of the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction Sargis Aleksanyan took part in the meeting.

Congratulating the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary on the occasion of the diplomatic mission in our country, the NA Vice President expressed confidence that the Ambassador would have his contribution to the Armenian-Korean friendly relations and the development and strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation in different spheres. Lena Nazaryan noted that the Agreement on the encouragement of the investments signed in 2018 by the governments of Armenia and Korea also would promote the bilateral beneficial cooperation and mutual defense.

The NA Vice President highlighted the opening of the Embassy of Korea to Armenia and the development of tourism. She informed that last year about 7000 Korean tourists visited our country. Lena Nazaryan noted that Armenia one-sidedly exempted the citizens of Korea from the demand of the entry visa, which would promote the increase of the rapprochement of the ties between the two countries’ citizens and the tourist flows.

The NA Vice President thanked Korea for the balanced position over the Karabakh issue.

The Vice President of the parliament also emphasized the activation of cooperation in the cultural sphere, underlining that Korean Centre functions at Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences.

The members of the RA NA Armenia-Korea Friendship Group have highlighted the development of the inter-parliamentary relations and the activation of the contacts, noting that great potential of cooperation exists between the two countries’ parliaments. The deputies evaluated the programme implemented in the parliament of Armenia by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

Lee Sok-bae has noted that Korea is interested in the cooperation in the spheres of high technologies and tourism. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary assured that he would do his best to promote the development of bilateral relations in different formats.
