Existing Problems for Prevention of Diseases, Early Detection and Medical Aid Conditioned by Malignant Neoplasm in Armenia Discussed

On October 28, the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs organized a working discussion on the theme The Ways of Solution of Current Situation and Existing Problems of the Programmes Being Implemented for the Prevention of Malignant Diseases, Early Detection and Rise of Treatment Efficiency in Armenia was held.

The Committee Chair Narek Zeynalyan has noted that the prevention of malignant diseases, their early detection and the medical aid are included in the programmes of priorities by the RA Ministry of Health, and the goal of the discussion is to touch upon the problems which need to be revised.

According to the RA Deputy Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, the oncology is one of the strategic directions of the sphere and a relevant programme is revised for the coming five years.

During the discussion the statistical analysis of the diseases conditioned by malignant neoplasm was presented.

The participants exchanged ideas on early detection and tissue researches in the exact diagnosis and on the x-ray diagnosis.

As a result of debates, the recorded problems and formed proposals will be submitted to the RA Ministry of Health for revising the further strategic steps.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs will be consistent for the implementation of the necessary legislative amendments.
