On October 23, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings passing by voting the legislative initiatives debated on the previous day.

The bill on Amending the RA Law on Service in the National Security Bodies and the package of the enclosed bills were not passed in the second reading.

The bill on Amending the RA Law on Criminal Procedure Service, the bill on Amending the RA Law on Criminal Procedure Service and the enclosed presented bills authored by the Bright Armenia Faction, the bill on Making Addendum to the RA law on Foreigners, the bill on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Trade and Services, the bill on Making Addenda to the RA Code on Administrative Infringements, the bill on Amending the RA Criminal Code and the enclosed presented bills were debated in the second reading.

The draft law on Making Addendum to the law on Approving the Annual and Complex programmes of the Events of the Restoration, Maintenance, Reproduction and Use of Lake Sevan Ecosystem was debated in the first reading.

The Chairman of the Water Committee of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Vardan Melkonyan has noted that the RA Government does not consider substantial the necessity of the draft law adoption.

According to the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Mary Galstyan, the draft law was thoroughly debated in the Committee and was endorsed. The MP Arman Abovyan presented the viewpoint of the NA Prosperous Armenia Faction.

In his final speech Vardan Melkonyan presented clarifications on the water losses, the reservoir construction, the technological resource and drip irrigation.

The parliament in the second reading debated the draft laws on Amending the RA Criminal-Procedure Code authored by the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction and on Making Addendum to the RA Law on the RA Holidays and Memorial Days.

The parliament in the first reading debated the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Tax Code.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Hripsime Grigoryan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan presented the position of the government and proposed the attendees to vote for the revised version of the draft law.

On behalf of the Bright Armenia Faction Mane Tandilyan thanked those present for the concerned debate, then urged the MPs to vote for the initiative.

The RA Deputy Minister of Health Anahit Avansyan presented for debate the bill on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Provision of Sanitary-Epidemiological Security of the RA Population.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs Arpine Davoyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The parliament will continue its work on October 24.

At the last sitting of the day, under the RA Constitutional law the NA Rules of Procedure, the members of the government answered to the deputies’ questions.
