Parliament Begins Work of Regular Sittings

On October 22, the RA National Assembly began the work of the regular sittings.

The deputies debated the legislative initiatives on Amending the RA Criminal Procedure Code, on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan, on Making Addenda to the RA Tax Code, on Making Addenda to the RA Tax Code, on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Military Service and the Serviceman’s Status authored by the Bright Armenia Faction, on Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements authored by the deputies of the Prosperous Armenia Faction Vahe Enfiajyan and Naira Zohrabyan, on State Support of the Implementation of the Investment Programmes authored by the deputies of the Prosperous Armenia Faction Mikayel Melkumyan and Artyom Tsarukyan and on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Education authored by the RA NA Deputy Speaker Vahe Enfiajyan.

The inclusion of the abovementioned legislative initiatives on the agenda of the third session of the seventh convocation of the RA National Assembly was denied by voting.

After approving the agenda of the regular sittings the parliament debated in the first reading the bill on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Code on the RA Bowels and the enclosed package of bills. The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Lilia Shushanyan presented the package of bills.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Karen Hambardzumyan presented the endorsement of the Head Committee.

The bill on Amending the RA Law on Service in the National Security Bodies and the enclosed presented package of bills, the bill on Making Amendment and Addenda to the RA Civil Procedure Code authored by the Bright Armenia Faction, the bill on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Peculiarities of the Administrative Procedure being Implemented on Violations of Traffic Rules Discovered by Video or Photo Equipment authored by the deputies of the NA My Step Faction Sisak Gabrielyan and Armen Pambukhchyan, the package opf bills on Making Addendum to the RA Criminal Code and on Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements authored by the deputies of the Prosperous Armenia Faction Naira Zohrabyan, Arman Abovyan, Edward Babayan, Shake Isayan, Vahe Enfiajyan were debated in the second reading.

At the last sitting of the day the MPs made announcements.

The parliament will continue the work on October 23.
