Parliament Begins Work of Regular Sittings

On October 1, the RA National Assembly began the work of the regular sittings.

The MPs debated and approved the draft agenda of the regular sittings.

The draft law on Amending the RA Law on State Property Privatisation Programme for 2017-2020 was debated in the first reading, which presented the Chairman of the RA State Property Management Committee Narek Babayan.

The Deputy Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Hovik Aghazaryan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The bill on Amending the RA Law on Compensation of the Damages Caused to the Servicemen’s Life or Health during the RA Defense authored by the MP Gevorg Papoyan was debated in the second reading.

The package of the draft laws on Making Addendum to the RA Law on State Duty and on Making Addendum to the RA Law on State Registration of the Rights to Property was debated in the first reading, presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Sedrak Tevonyan presented the endorsement.

The Deputy Minister Vache Terteryan also presented the draft law on Territorial Administration and the enclosed package of the draft laws.

The RA Minister of Environment Erik Grigoryan presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Amending the RA Water Code and the enclosed draft laws.

The MPs in the first reading debated the bill on Amending the Constitutional Law the Rules of Procedure.

The MPs voiced a number of recommendations on the initiative.

The Secretary of the Bright Armenia Faction Gevorg Gorgisyan and the Head of My Step Faction Lilit Makunts also presented their viewpoints.

Afterwards the parliament in the first reading presented the package of the draft laws on Making Addenda to the RA Water Code and on making Addendum to the RA Code on Administrative Infringements.

The draft law on Amending the RA Civil Code was debated in the first reading.

At the last sitting of the day the MPs made announcements.

The parliament will continue the work on October 2.
