On September 24, w ithin the framework of the Fourth Meeting of Speakers of the Eurasian Countries' Parliaments (MSEAP) the President of the National Assembly of Armenia met with the President of Federal Council of Austria Karl Bader.

Expressing satisfaction over the warm and functional ties formed between the two countries’ parliaments, Karl Bader underlined the active work of the Friendship Groups in increasing the parliaments’ capabilities and reaching them to a new level in the work being done with the voters and in the educational programmes.

Ararat Mirzoyan underscored the importance of ratification of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, as well as the role of Austria in the launch of the dialogue over the entry visa liberalization. The Head of the parliament has noted that the two countries have a perspective of joint work in the strengthening of parliamentary oversight mechanisms and in the development of the parliaments’ capabilities.

The parties also discussed issues concerning the joint work of the two countries’ legislative bodies on the multilateral parliamentary platforms.
