Representatives of Committee Present Details about Joint Sitting Works

On September 23, during the press conference the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration Mikayel Melkumyan, the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee Armen Pambukhchyan, the Committee members Edvard Andreasyan, Vahe Hovhannisyan, Aleksey Sandikov, Alexander Avetisyan and Eduard Babayan presented details about the works of the joint sitting of the RA National Assembly Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration and the RF FA State Duma Committee on the CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Links with Compatriots held in Moscow.

According to the Committee Chair Mikayel Melkumyan, the items on the participation of parliaments of Armenia and Russia in Eurasian integration processes, on the CSTO PA activity and on the Armenian-Russian inter-parliamentary cooperation were included in the agenda.

The MP distinguished three important problems on which distinct agreements were reached: the Russian side will continue the nuclear power plant loan process of Armenia and the item related to the Armenian driving license. At the sitting the item of the destructive assault weapons from one CSTO member country to the CSTO another member country within the framework of the CSTO was discussed.

The NA deputy Armen Pambukhchyan noted that they made a decision to find joint solutions with the Russian colleagues on the emerging problems in the bilateral relations. According to the speaker, similar cooperation will strengthen the bilateral relations.

According to the NA deputy Edvard Andreasyan, all the meetings and debates in the RF State Duma have been constructive.

The NA deputy Aleksey Sandikov highlighted the problems of cooperation with the communities, as well as the items of increasing Russian lesson hours in Armenian schools and organizing of different events in our country.
