On September 19, the member of the RA NA Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Mary Galstyan met with the UNDP-GEF International Expert Evaluation Project “Generate global environmental benefits through environmental education and raising awareness of stakeholders” Elinor Bajrakhtari and the Technical Task Leader Armine Poghosyan.
At present in the framework of the Committee and abovementioned project an expert's support is provided in the elaboration process of the RA draft laws on Environmental Information.
During the meeting the works for the elaboration of the draft laws, the schedule, the main directions and the role of the initiative settlement in the context of the environmental legislation.
Mary Galstyan presented the main directions and priorities of the legislative works of the environment preservation and the management of human resources at the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment, underlining the importance of the investment and localization of the international best experience and topical approaches in those processes.
In this context the MP highlighted the continuous and effective cooperation with her international colleagues.
