On September 16, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings, debated in the first reading the package of bills on Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements and on Making Addenda to the RA Procedure Code authored by the member of My Step Faction Nikolay Baghdasaryan.

The RA First Deputy Minister Rafik Grigoryan has noted that the executive body is for the initiative but with reservation.

The deputies in the first reading debated the draft law on Amending the RA Criminal Code and the presented package of the draft laws. The Deputy Minister of Economy Naira Margaryan gave information on the draft laws.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Suren Grigoryan presented the endorsements of the Committee.

The President of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan has made a statement noting that the Central Electoral Commission has presented the protocol on providing the mandate of the deputy elected deputy of the National Assembly and the pre-term suspended authorities, according to which, the mandate is given to the next candidate of the national electoral list of My Step Parties Alliance Artur Manukyan.

According to constitutional law the NA Rules of Procedure, Artur Manukyan assumed the deputy’s obligations with sworn-in ceremony.

Afterwards the deputies by voting passed the debated legislative initiatives. The bill on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Constitutional Law the NA Rules of Procedure authored by the Bright Armenia Faction was not passed.
