Demands on the RA Representative in the European Court of Human Rights Specified

On July 10, at the extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by the Chair of the Committee Vladimir Vardanyan the draft law on the RA Representative in the European Court of the Human Rights and the package of the enclosed draft laws was debated in the second reading.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Justice Artak Asatryan presented to the Committee members the recommendation of the Prosperous Armenia Faction. According to this, the RA Representative in the European Court of the Human Rights can be appointed the 30-year old person, with the legal education and at least with 5-year professional working experience, as well as the knowledge of the RA legislation on the human rights, the international acts, having a command of Armenian and English or French and being the RA citizen.

The package of the debated draft laws was endorsed.
