Vahe Enfiajyan Receives Delegation of Vietnamese Parliamentarians

On June 24, the Head of the RA NA Armenia-Vietnam Friendship Group, the RA NA Vice President Vahe Enfiajyan and the members of the Group met with the delegation led by the Vice-Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Parliament of Vietnam Nguyen Manh Tien.

Vahe Enfiajyan considered important the cooperation with Vietnam in different spheres, stressing especially the sphere of education. He has informed that Vietnamese students also study in the higher educational institutions of Armenia. The Head of the Friendship Group also highlighted the cooperation in the spheres of high technologies and tourism. The opening of the Embassy of Vietnam to the RA was considered of priority.

Nguyen Manh Tien expressed confidence that the visit to the National Assembly of Armenia would be a guideline for the start of the Armenian-Vietnamese inter-parliamentary ties. Telling about the economic successes of his country, he has emphasized the cooperation in the frameworks of the EEU and has noted that today Vietnam is one of the first countries in the world on the export of coffee and rice. According to the Head of the delegation, the goods turnover between the two countries is about 3mln USD, and there is an opportunity for the export and import of different kinds of goods. The members of the delegation are impressed especially by delicious tasty fruits, desserts of Armenia and picturesque sights of the country.

Noting that there is wish and potential for bilateral cooperation, the RA NA Vice President Vahe Enfiajyan expressed hope that successes would be in the works.
