On June 18, the members of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction Naira Zohrabyan and Mikayel Melkumyan received the Director of the International Division of the Department of the Eurasian Countries of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Armenia Tian Erlong also attended the meeting.

The sides discussed the perspectives of activation of relations between Armenia and China. The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Naira Zohrabyan has noted that they are impressed by the dynamic style of China's economy and scientific newest investments, which today make the economy of the country one of the biggest and competitive economies of the world.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration Mikayel Melkumyan noted that the EEU expanded the cooperation with Iran, Singapore, Egypt, India, Vietnam and other countries, and China is a cornerstone country in that sphere.

The interlcoutors also discussed One Belt, One Road (OBOR) project, where as Naira Zohrabyan noted Armenia should have a key role as one of the most important countries of the historical Silk Road before.

Naira Zohrabyan invited the high ranking representatives of the Communist Party of China on behalf of the Head of the Prosperous Armenia Faction Gagik Tsarukyan. The Director of the International Division of the Department of the Eurasian Countries of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in his turn invited the delegation led by the Chairman of the Prosperous Armenia to China on a mutual visit.
