Parliament Park of Armenia Enriched with a New Kind of Tree

The Parliament Park of Armenia was enriched with a new kind of tree, sequoia. On June 11, the initiator of the tree planting organized in the public part of the NA Park was the surgeon-oncologist Vahagn Hambardzumyan, who received his education and worked in the U.S. and now returning to the Motherland, brought with him 50 seedlings of sequoia tree. He presented four of them to the National Assembly.

According to Vahagn Hambardzumyan, the sequoia is considered a tree having the highest, slender and wood substance of the world. He wishes Armenia to be firm, standing and powerful.

The oncologist’s seedlings were also planted in the parks of the Residence of the President of the Republic and several medical institutions. Vahagn Hambarzumyan has a wish to plant sequoia also in Shushi.

The RA NA Deputy Chief of Staff Samvel Meliksetyan and the employees of the Staff took part in the tree planting.
