On May 29, the RA National Assembly began the work of the regular sittings. The parliament debated the item of including the draft laws that received negative conclusion by the Head Committees in the draft law of the agenda of the second session of the RA NA 7^th convocation.

By the legislators’ decision several packages and draft laws were given negative conclusions.

During the exchange of thoughts the Head of the RA NA My Step Faction Lilit Makunts has informed that several months ago the Faction has initiated and now elaborates the RA draft law on Vetting.

The Head of the Faction has specified that the draft law is at the final stage of elaboration.

The parliament approved the agendas of the second session and regular sittings of the RA NA 7^th convocation.

The parliament debated the item of the election of the RA Constitutional Court judge. Artur Vagharshyan’s candidacy was nominated by the RA President Armen Sargsyan for being elected in that vacant position.

The Head of the RA President’s Staff Emil Tarasyan presented the nominee’s biography and the passed working path.

Artur Vagharshyan answered the deputies’ more than a dozen questions, presented his approaches on the constitutional institute of the MP’s immunity, CC activity, the displeasure existing towards the judicial system, the vetting institute, etc.

Tigran Urikhanyan, Tatevik Hayrapetyan, Taron Simonyan, Taguhi Ghazaryan, Hayk Konjoryan, Suren Grigoryan, Arpi Davoyan expressed their viewpoints on the nominee’s activities.

In his final speech the CC judge nominee Artur vagharshyan answered the deputies’ questions and touched upon some public-political events.

As a result of secret ballot, out of 132 deputies 88 took part there. Artur Vagharshyan was not elected CC judge with 30 for, 53 against and 5 voting papers were recognized.

At the last sitting, under the constitutional law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, the members of the RA Government answered the deputies’ questions.
