“Dear compatriots, in these days of 1918 the Armenian people, impoverished by the genocide, hunger, epidemics, abandoned by the allies, coming out for a most real battle between life and death and unbelievable heroic deed in Sardarapat, Bash-Aparan and Gharakilisa and stopped the Turkish troops’ advancement.

As a result of that heroic deed, the Armenian people not only established their right to living, but also a nation fixed the right to being self-determined in their motherland and having statehood.

After thousand years of pause the state of Armenia was restored on the world map, as evidence that the Armenian people continue to cherish in their hearts the dream about free, dignified and happy fatherland and are ready to fight for that dream until their last breath.

Those heroic events of 100 hundred-year limitation should be a source of inspiration, pride and responsibility for us in our commitment of building Armenia of our dreams.
