Amendments and Addenda Being Proposed to the Laws on the Repressed and on Advocacy Discussed

At May 23 sitting moderated by Naira Zohrabyan, the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs debated the draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on the Repressed. The RA First Deputy Minister of Justice Artak Asatryan presented the draft law.

The Committee member Sargis Khandanyan expressed his positive viewpoint over the draft law.

The bill on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Advocacy was also debated in the first reading. Artak Asatryan has noted that it is proposed to specify the spheres of the law regulation topic and design the Administrative Procedure Code as bases of legislation regulating the sphere of advocacy.

The Committee member Taguhi Tovmasyan presented endorsement on the initiative.

As a result of debates two legislative initiatives were endorsed by the Committee. The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Human Trafficking and Identification and Support of the Persons Subjected to Exploitation was also debated in the second reading.
