On May 15, in the National Assembly the briefing of the RA NA President Ararat Mirzoyan and the AR NA President Ashot Ghulyan was held, during which the heads of the parliaments of the two Armenian states touched upon the results of the thirteenth sitting of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the RA National Assembly and the National Assembly of Artsakh Republic.

On behalf of his colleagues and him Ashot Ghulyan expressed satisfaction over the regular sitting of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation, noting that the participants of the sitting recorded the efficiency of the discussions. Within the framework of the agenda theme the perspectives of the parliamentary diplomacy activation and the role of the parliamentary diplomacy in the NK conflict settlement process the MPs had an opportunity to present their viewpoints, recommendations and opinions.

According to the AR NA President, despite the opportunity of receiving all the factions of the RA parliament of the 7^th convocation in Stepanakert at high level, the President of Armenia’s National Assembly visited Stepanakert several times, in terms of practical works today’s meeting with the Head of Armenia’s Parliament and the sitting of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee showed the further path of cooperation.

“I am sure that a great number of issues will be distinguished from today’s discussions, we have concrete agreements in a few directions, including the holding of joint sittings of the Standing Committees. On behalf of the delegation of Artsakh Parliament I express my gratitude to the RA NA President and all my colleagues, as there were well-aimed questions, which would help to more correctly direct our joint work in the coming months,” Ashot Ghulyan noted.

Ararat Mirzoyan also expressed satisfaction over the results of the sitting thanking his Artsakh colleagues on behalf of the RA National Assembly. The Head of Armenia’s legislative body has also underlined the favourable procedure of the sitting debates, noting that the agenda theme is of exclusive importance, on which serious questions and thoughts have been voiced, and interesting nuances have been touched upon.

“Now our parliamentarians have more distinct picture what emphases should be made in various international multi-lateral and bilateral contacts. I think that these discussions shall be continued, as the process is continuous. We predetermined issues also concerning other spheres for further discussions,” the President of the National Assembly underscored.
