Pupils of Sevan Mesrop Mashtots School - Guests of Parliament

On May 7, within the framework of the Open Doors programme the pupils and teachers of Mesrop Mashtots N 1 Basic School of Sevan city of the RA Gegharkunik Marz visited the parliament. The guests took a tour in the parliament building, observed the work of the regular sitting of the National Assembly and visited the museum.

The Chair of the RA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Varazdat Karapetyan, the RA NA deputies Taguhi Tovmasyan, Mary Galstyan and Narek Mkrtchyan met with them and held an open lesson.

The meeting went on in Q & A session. The pupils were particularly interested in the issues on the environment and the education. They also expressed their anxiety about the teachers’ low salary. Varazdat Karapetyan has informed them that in the near future increase of the teachers’ salary is designed.

The MPs urged the pupils to study well and have good command of foreign languages.
