On April 18, the representatives of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs and the NA Budget Office met with Shalanda Young, U.S. House Democracy Partnership and Democratic Staff Director, House Committee on Appropriations and Justin Wein, Deputy Chief of Staff/Washington Office Director.

The guests presented the experience of the U.S. parliamentary effective oversight implementation towards developing budgets and appropriating government funds.

The Armenian parliamentarians considered useful the discussion. The interlocutors exchanged thoughts over the issue of the rise of mechanism efficiency directed to the implementation of the parliamentary oversight functions.

The Committee Chair Mane Tandilyan expressed conviction that the U.S. presented experience would be useful in the further works of the Committee led by her.
