On April 18, the RA National Assembly continued the debate of the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on the Government Structure and Activity and the related to the package of the draft laws , listening to the final speeches by the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vahagn Hovakimyan and the RA Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan.

The parliament passed the legislative package in the first reading with 71 for and 40 against votes.

Afterwards the RA NA draft decision on Proposal for the RA Prime Minister’s debate the item of the further tenure of the RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan by the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction was put for voting. The proposal was not passed with 41 for and 67 for votes.

The parliament debated in the first reading the bill authored by the NA Bright Armenia Faction on Making Addenda to the RA Code on Administrative Infringements , presented by the MP Mane Tandilyan.

The MP Artak Manukyan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Justice Artak Asatryan presented the endorsement of the RA Government related to the draft law.

During the exchange of thoughts, the MPs Gevorg Papoyan, Arkady Khachatryan. Edgar Arakelyan, Hrachya Hakobyan, Hovik Aghazaryan, Babken Tunyan, Tsovinar Vardanyan presented their positive viewpoints, recommendations and remarks.

Afterwards the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Criminal-Executive Code, on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Keeping Arrested and Detained Persons presented by the RA First Deputy Minister of Justice Artak Asatryan was debated.

The deputy Nikolay Baghdasaryan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and noted that, as a result of working debates the recommendations presented to the executive body was accepted.

The RA Acting Minister of Energy Sub-Structures and Natural Resources Garegin Baghramyan presented for debate in the first reading the legislative package on Making Amendments to the RA Code on Bowels, on Making Amendment and Addendum to the Law on Accounting of the State Registration of Legal Entities, the Separated Sub-Units, Institutions of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs and on Making Amendment and Addendum to the Law on Public Service.

The MP Karen Hambardzumyan voiced in his co-report the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs and the debates in the Committee.

The item of appointing Chairman of the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission was debated. The NA Deputy Speaker Vahe Enfiajyan informed that the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proposed Garegin Baghramyan's candidacy.

The deputies Lilit Makunts, Mikayel Melkumyan, Arkady Khachatryan, Arman Babajanyan, Gevorg Papoyan, Sofia Hovsepyan, Gevorg Gorgisyan, Aren Mkrtchyan and Garegin Baghramyan delivered speeches on the candidate .

Afterwards the voting of the appointment of the Chairman of the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) was organized in parliament. The parliament debated the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Joint Stock Companies and on Making Amendment and Addendum to the RA Law on LTD Companies in the second reading and completely passing it.

The legislative package on Making Addendum to the Law on State Duty and on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Notice for Activity Implementation was debated in the first reading procedure, presented by the RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan.

At the end of the sitting the Chair of the NA Accounting Committee Vahagn Hovakimyan has informed that as a result of secret ballot Garegin Baghramyan was appointed in the post of the Chairman of the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission with 85 for and 20 against votes.

The parliament will continue the work of the regular sittings on April 19 at 10:00.
