Ararat Mirzoyan Meets with President of Inter-Parliamentary Union Gabriela Cuevas Barron

Within the framework of the 140th Session works of the Inter-Parliamentary Union the President of the National Assembly going on in Doha Ararat Mirzoyan met with the President of the organization Gabriela Cuevas Barron.

During the debate Ararat Mirzoyan presented the amendments held in Armenia during one year and the developments recorded after the snap parliamentary elections. The Head of the legislative body expressed confidence that the National Assembly of the new convocation would be actively involved in the works of the international parliamentary organizations, particularly the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The sides discussed the item of the formation of the closer cooperation agenda, which could include the goals of the UN sustainable development, the institutional development of the parliaments and other spheres of joint interest.
