By the decision of the RA NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, under the Article 100 of the RA Constitution and the Article 41 of the RA Constitutional Law the National Assembly Rules of Procedure on the initiative of the RA Government on April 8, the RA NA extraordinary sitting was convened, having on the agenda three legislative initiatives.

By the decision of the parliament the debate of the agenda items in the second reading will be held in the special procedure after passing them in the first reading within 24 hours.

The RA Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan presented for debate in the first reading the legislative package on Making Addenda and Amendments to the RA Law on Protection of Economic Competition and on Amending the RA Law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on the Body Regulating the Public Services.

The deputy Tsovinar Vardanyan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.

Artak Zeynalyan also presented for debate in the first reading the RA draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Holidays and Memorial Days .

During exchnage of thoughts the deputies Gevorg Petrosyan, Mikayel Zolyan, Hamazasp Danielyan, Maria Karapetyan and Vahagn Hovakimyan presented their positive positions and recommendations.

Taron Simonyan presented the viewpoint of the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction.

Gevorg Petrosyan delivered a speech from the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Alen SImonyan gave a speech on behalf of the RA NA My Step Alliance.

Afterwards the draft law on Amending the RA Tax Code was debated in the first reading.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Argishti Mekhakyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The NA deputies Ani Samsonyan, Artak Manukyan, Sofya Hovsepyan and Babken Tunyan expressed their opinions on the initiative .

The deputy Maria Karapetyan expressed the viewpoint of the NA My Step Faction. The MP particularly touched upon the procedure of the organization of the hearings initiated by the NA Standing Committee and presented clarifications.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan presented viewpoints on the deputies' interpellations.

At the end of the sitting the parliament passed the debated draft laws in the first reading.

The National Assembly will continue the work of the extraordinary sitting on April 9 at 11:00.
