On April 3, the sitting of the RA NA Armenia-Ukraine Friendship Group moderated by the Head of the Group Hovhannes Igityan, where Petro Lytvyn, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the RA was invited.

The participants of the sitting talked about the two peoples’ centuries-old friendship, highlighted the enlivening of the ties between the Parliamentary Friendship Groups. It has been underlined that there are opportunities of deepening the relations in numerous spheres. The activity of the great number of the Armenian community in Ukraine was touched upon.

The Ambassador welcomed the creation of the RA NA Armenia-Ukraine Friendship Group and wished the Group effective work for the benefit of the development of the relations between the two peoples and the states.

During the sitting the issues on organization of the cultural events, particularly having Days of Armenia in Ukraine and Days of Ukraine in Armenia were discussed.
