Anush Begloian, who was elected Deputy Chairperson of the Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport, informed that numerous model draft laws were discussed in the Commission, including the school sport, social tourism.

The draft Convention on Preservation of Cultural Values is on the Commission agenda, and its debate had been postponed by half a year. The Armenian delegation envisages presenting a series of recommendations. The Convention will be proposed for the ratification of the national parliaments in the future.

According to the speakers, about 10 per cent of the model laws being proposed by the Commissions becomes as a basis while working out bills for the CIS member countries, hence a decision was made to call into life such bills which would be used in practice.
