On March 6, the RA NA Vice President Alen Simonyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.
The interlocutors touched upon the current agenda of the Armenia-Russian alliance relations.
In the context of the two countries’ inter-state relations Alen Simonyan underlined the role of the Armenian-Russian parliamentary cooperation, assuring that the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the RA National Assembly and the RF Federal Assembly with its co-chairmanship would continue the effective work.
In the further deepening of friendly peoples’ relations the NA Vice President highlighted the Ambassador’s practical participation and support, expressing readiness for cooperation.
Alen Simonyan expressed his concern about some Russian colleagues’ participation in the anti-Armenian event organized in Baku on February 26.
In the advancement of the Russian-Armenian political agenda the importance of the existing level of the inter-parliamentary relations and in the near future an agreement was reached for making frequent meetings and debates.
