Mikayel Melkumyan Receives Ambassador of Georgia to Armenia

On March 5, the Committee Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration Mikayel Melkumyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia George Saganelidze.

The sides highlighted the development of the firm friendly ties formed between the two countries and peoples and traditional warm relations. In the context of the expansion of the inter-state relations the interlocutors underlined the role of the parliamentary diplomacy, emphasized the legislators' frequent mutual visits. They touched upon the necessity of the joint work in the inter-parliamentary structures, the activation of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.

Mikayel Melkumyan proposed George Saganelidze to create a format of cooperation for the committees of the two countries' parliaments, which would give an opportunity for expansion of further close contacts and practical relations. In this aspect the Ambassador expressed readiness for support within his authority.
