Naira Zohrabyan Meets with Representatives of National Democracy Institute

On February 27, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Naira Zohrabyan met with the Armenia Resident Senior Director of the National Democracy Institute (NDI) Laura Nichols, the Officer of the Programs with the National Assembly Laura Simonyan and the Program Manager with the Parties Vardan Partamyan.

The sides discussed the road map of the mutual cooperation.

Naira Zohrabyan noted that during these years the NDI had implemented an important mission, but in the work mechanisms with the international organizations in new Armenia should get changed to some extent for raising the efficiency of cooperation.

The issue of the support programs to the political parties, parliamentary factions, the female MPs was discussed, which would give an opportunity to develop the inner democracy of the parties, the party-faction connection and, the legislative skills of the MPs, particularly the female MPs.

The sides agreed to make a road map of joint activities in all directions during the upcoming week.
