On February 14, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Ruben Rubinyan and the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport received the Chargé d’Affaires of Sweden to RA Martin Fredriksson and Sweden’s Ambassador for the EU Eastern Partnership Anna Westerholm.
In the course of the meeting the sides touched upon the role of Armenia within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, discussed the main mechanisms of cooperation between the RA newly elected parliament and the Government.
The parliamentary diplomacy was touched upon and the role of the parliamentary oversight was highlighted.
Issues concerning the exchange of experience on the development of the capabilities between the parliaments of Armenia and Sweden were also discussed.
