On February 11, the RA NA Standing Committees convened sittings.

Two items were included in the agenda of the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment. The Committee Chair Varazdat Karapetyan informed that a decision was made as a result of political debates the candidacy of the member of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction Sergey Bagratyan was nominated for being elected in the post of the Committee Deputy Chair. As a result of voting Sergey Bagratyan was unanimously elected. He thanked his colleagues for nominating his candidacy and touched upon the works to be done.

At the first sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Babken Tunyan the item of the election of the Deputy Chair of the Committee was first debated. The RA NA My Step Faction nominated Hovik Aghazaryan’s candidacy for being elected in that post. Thanking his colleagues for nomination the candidate presented his vision of the works to be done in the Committee.

As a result of voting Hovik Aghazaryan was unanimously elected. The MPs also approved the work order of the Committee.

At the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations moderated by Ruben Rubinyan Deputy Chair was unanimously elected the member of My Step Faction Hovhannes Igityan. The latter thanked his colleagues for the trust and highlighted the team work at the Committee.

Afterwards the work order of the Committee was approved.

At the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Mane Tandilyan Deputy Chair was unanimously elected the member of My Step Faction Artak Manukyan. The work order of the Committee was also approved.

The Committee members also listened to the information of the activity of the RA NA Budget Office, which presented the Coordinator-Expert of the Budget Office Gagik Barseghyan. The Annual report for 2018 on the works done of the Budget Office was also debated.

At the extraordinary first sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security moderated by Andranik Kocharyan the work order of the Committee was debated and approved.

The MPs also debated the second agenda item, the election of the Deputy Chair of the Committee. According to Andranik Kocharyan, after political debates a decision was made to nominate Vardan Vardanyan’s candidacy, who was unanimously elected as a result of voting.
