RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan Sends Congratulatory Address on International Students’ Day
1 / 1

“Dear students, I cordially congratulate all of us on International Students' Day. I wish you peace, happiness, purposefulness, effective years of education and all the best.

The future of Armenia is conditioned by you, you are going to develop the science, economy and culture and provide the sustainable progress of our country.

Relying on the international experience today we continue the reforms of the educational system, upgrade the legislative field regarding the youth problems and be sure that everything possible is done for providing full manifestation of your knowledge and professional capabilities.

The Armenian students’ every generation has inherited the bright and liberal ideas and developing them, as an old, but an innovated system of values, has conveyed them to the next generation.

The witnesses are the Armenian first students – the pupils of Mesrop Mashtots and Sahak Partev, then the students of the Enlightening Centres of Armenia Gladzor and Tatev Universities, who spread the Armenian historians’ books in Armenia, Anania Shirakatsi’s mathematical knowledge and Mkhitar Heratsi’s medical advice.

And the Armenian students were the ones that in all times revolted against every enemy threatening Armenia and the complete their interrupted in the battlefields.

And bowing before the bright memory of all students who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, we should also pay granted to the deed of the students, who about seven decades ago revolted against the Hitler’s fascism cannibalism and on this day of 1939 paid with their lives. And November 17 has become not only the day symbolizing their memory, but also the solidarity of mankind in fighting against violence.

In the twenty-first century the manifestations of violence and hatred continue and get new forms. The best weapons of fighting against them are the modern education, knowledge and the developing culture. The progress of humankind is conditioned by their light, and you will be those spreading it, because the students have been the powerful force denying violence and hatred and have formed the progressive ideas and values on which free and democratic societies are based on.

Dear students, I congratulate you once again on International Students' Day, wish you to use the opportunities given by the inter-university connections and information technologies at best during your education. Let your glance always be stared to the future and all what you have mastered in your university classes you will serve for the further development of Armenia and Artsakh.

Dear students, all the best to you,” in the congratulatory address by the RA NA Ara Babloyan reads.
