On October 1, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Armen Ashotyan met with the Member of the Christian Democratic Union Party of Hamburg of the Federal Republic of Germany Heiko Hecht and the Member of the Presidency of the Party and the Landtang Committee on Economic Affairs and Tourism David Erkalp.

The interlocutors talked about the Armenian-German inter-parliamentary cooperation. The Committee Chair highlighted the quick ratification of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership New Agreement as soon as possible.

The sides touched upon the possibilities of the cooperation development in the economic sphere and the implementation ways of the new investment programmes, With regards to this Armen Ashotyan highlighted the necessity of turning the positive emotions of Angela Merkel’s visit to Armenia into concrete actions.

The Committee Chair also added that as Head of the Armenian-German inter-parliamentary friendship would continue recording to make efforts also with the German side.
