Ara Babloyan Receives Ambassador of Swiss Confederation to Armenia

On August 21, the RA National Assembly President Ara Babloyan receives the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Armenia Lukas Gasser.

Highly assessing the Ambassador’s mission in Armenia, Ara Babloyan has underlined that there are dynamically developing relations exist between the two countries not only in the political, but also in economic, cultural, educational and health care spheres.

The Head of the Parliament expressed hope that Armenia and Switzerland would not be satisfied with the reached impressive results and would continue to further deepen and develop the relations. In this respect Ara Babloyan especially highlighted the role of the inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Touching upon the events in Armenian, Ara Babloyan underscored the importance of the implementation of the reforms by the legislative and executive authorities. The Head of the Parliament has stressed that on the way a number of negative phenomena, including the struggle against corruption, and monopolies, as well as further deepening and strengthening of democracy.

The Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Armenia Lukas Gasser noted that the years of his diplomatic mission in Armenia had been full with agenda and interesting. The Ambassador highly assessed the visit of the delegation led by the President of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation Dominique de Buman to Armenia.

Lukas Gasser reaffirmed the readiness and the practical support of the Swiss side directed to the further development and deepening of the Armenian-Swiss relations.
